Brooklyn Bridge closed because of abandoned car

Police say the Brooklyn Bridge is closed while they investigate an abandoned car.
Traffic in both directions was halted around 6 p.m. Monday. The New York Police Department says the car is midway along the bridge on the Manhattan-bound side.
No further information was immediately available.
