A cop was charged with allegedly making up bogus charges against a Coney Island man this past February and then fudging paperwork to cover it up.

NYPD Officer Diego Palacios was standing in John Hockenjos' driveway after he was called to help solve a domestic dispute between Hockenjos and a neighbor.

Palacios arrested Hockenjos, claiming he nearly mowed him down with his car as he sped into his driveway. Palacios, 30, said he had to dodge out of the way to save his life.

But prosecutors say a video shows that Palacios was never in danger, and instead shows that Hockenjos slowly rolled into his driveway.

He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
