A 30-year-old man walking on the G train's tracks in a Brooklyn station early Monday morning was electrocuted when he touched the third rail, NYPD said.
Matthew Zeno of Bedford-Stuyvesant was on the roadbed of the Broadway station by Union Avenue with a friend around 3 a.m. to urinate when he inadvertently came in contact with the third rail, MTA and NYPD officials said. Zeno's friend, whose name has not been released, attempted to help and was shocked himself. The friend got help and both were taken to Woodhull Medical Center. Zeno was pronounced dead at the hospital while his friend was in stable condition.
