The two Brooklyn sisters who were allegedly abandoned on the street told police, "Mommy left us here," prosecutors said Tuesday.
Diani, 3, and Dominae, 2, were crying and clutching diapers in their hands as they stood alone on a sidewalk Sunday afternoon, according to court documents. A pedestrian found the toddlers and called 911.
Their mother, Dalisha Adams, 26, turned herself in and was arraigned Tuesday in Brooklyn Criminal Court on charges of endangering the welfare of a child. Bail was set at $2,500 cash or $1,500 bond.
Adams' lawyer did not return a call seeking comment, but told the Daily News "she maintains her innocence."
