Come next year, your taxi ride may rise a whopping 19 percent.

The Taxi and Limousine Commission will be reviewing a cab fare increase in 2011 that also involves upping the initial base rate to $3 from $2.50, said Michael Woloz, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Taxicab Board of Trade, which represents yellow cabs run out of garages.

The TLC last increased yellow cab fares in 2004 by 26 percent, but Woloz said operational costs have gone up and new rates are needed.

In addition, the taxi drivers want to increase the flat fare between Kennedy Airport and Manhattan from $45 to $53 and charge higher idling fees.

The TLC could not be reached for comment Sunday.

Commuting is only getting costlier for New Yorkers as MetroCard fares and MTA-owned bridge and tunnel tolls will go up Dec. 30.
