Canadian company Hudson's Bay Co. buys Lord & Taylor

Canadian retail conglomerate Hudson's Bay Co. has completed its purchase of Lord & Taylor, Women's Wear Daily reported Monday. HBC invested $427 million in the chain as part of the deal, which saw the departure of Lord & Taylor CEO Brendan Hoffman. Lord & Taylor has 47 U.S. stores and plans to add three more.
