Considering that “Two and a Half Men” was a gigantic hit for CBS before its leading man went totally off the rails, it’s no big shock that the network wants Charlie Sheen back.
The top CBS exec is ready to forgive Sheen and continue broadcasting the series — with Sheen back in the starring role, a well-placed insider told RadarOnline.com.
According to the source, CBS President Les Moonves has been speaking with top execs at Warner Bros. — the company that produces “Men” and also fired Sheen.
Moonves also has spoken directly to the sitcom’s co-creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre, who has been a target of Sheen’s violent outbursts, to come to some sort of solution
“Moonves told Lorre that he should ‘let us handle Charlie’,” the source said.
“[Les] wants to get the show back on the air. He’s all for it.”
A rep for the network declined to comment.
