CBS doesn't want too much skin at the Grammys on Sunday.

The network is clamping down on the attire of on-camera talent, telling performers to cover up all their naughty bits so that no inappropriate skin is shown during the broadcast, according to a memo leaked to Deadline.com.

"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic," read the memo from the network's Standards and Practices department.

"Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure," the memo read. It also forbids "bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack" or "see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples."

The Grammys have been known as a showcase for racy dress, most notably in 2000 when Jennifer Lopez wore a low-cut green dress that stretched below her navel.

CBS was fined more than half a million dollars in 2004 after Janet Jackson's Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction," though it was later cleared of the fine.

The Grammys air Sunday at 8 p.m.
