Dolan was elevated to cardinal by Pope Benedict one week ago Saturday. He was back in New York to lead a service on Ash Wednesday, but still continues to receive accolades.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey lit the unfinished 1 World Trade Center red on Friday in Dolan's honor.
The cardinal was also to lead a mass at St. Patrick's at 4 p.m.
