Charities raise $400 million for Sandy Relief, according to Attorney General
More than $400 million have been raised by 88 charities for superstorm Sandy relief, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman's office said Thursday.
Schneiderman called the response "inspiring."
The efforts were led by the American Red Cross, which raised $188 million, the Robin Hood Foundation, which raised $67 million and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, which raised $45 million, according to the Attorney General's Charity Bureau.
