Citing higher costs, MoMa to hike admissions fees

Admission fees at the Museum of Modern Art are going up in September, the museum announced Thursday, with adults having to cough up $25 instead of $20 (seniors pay $18, $14 for students and kids under 16 go free).

“Since the last increase in admission prices, in 2004, the Museum has faced escalating costs in virtually all aspects of operating the Museum,” MoMa said in a statement.

The museum has around 2.8 million visitors each year.
