The latest victim of Drake and Chris Brown's spat is the club where the now infamous melee took place.

Just before 11 p.m. Saturday, W.i.P. was shut down for code violations by the Civil Enforcement Unit, a police spokeswoman said.

The violations were unrelated to Thursday's scuffle that left singer Chris Brown, 23, with a gash on his chin, and five others injured. Among those hurt were one of Brown's bodyguards and a 24-year-old tourist.

Brown was also hit by a bottle, but it's still unclear who hurled it at him.

W.i.P. can reopen once the unspecified violations are cleared up, the spokeswoman said, adding that there were no patrons inside when the club was shuttered.

One of the club's owners, Barry Mullineaux told DNAinfo.com, that the closure was "temporary."

Another West Village club, Greenhouse, on 150 Varick St., was also shuttered Saturday for similar code violations. The fight Thursday reportedly started after Drake, 25, taunted Brown with a note about his former flame, pop star Rihanna. There have been no arrests.
