The NYPD may have finally cracked a 25-year-old murder case, officials announced Thursday.

Police arrested 53-year-old Edwin Alcaide Thursday on murder charges after allegedly tracing his DNA to the killing of Lissette Torres in 1987.

Torres, 19, was found fully clothed in an empty Sunset Park lot with multiple stab wounds on New Year's Day, police said, and was pronounced dead on the scene. Cops were unable to figure out a motive for the killing.

The NYPD's Cold Case Squad stepped up its investigation in 2010, but only recently found the link to Alcaide, of Manhattan.
