Police are looking for a man who allegedly swiped a straphanger's iPhone at knifepoint last month.
The unidentified man, who cops believe is about 17 years old, is accused of demanding a 21-year-old woman give him her iPhone at the Tremont Avenue D subway station on June 12 at around 2 a.m. She handed over the cellphone and was not injured, police said.
The NYPD has increased its patrols on subways to battle a surge in thefts of electronic devices such as e-readers and smartphones.
