Cops: NYPD sergeant arrested after refusing to take a Breathalyzer

An off-duty NYPD sergeant was arrested and suspended after getting into a minor car accident Sunday night and refusing to take a Breathalyzer, police said.
Kwando Karikari-Awere, 38, was involved in the wreck at East 150th Street and Morris Avenue in the Bronx around 8:40 p.m. After police arrived, he refused to take a Breathalyzer test and was charged as such.
Police said there were no injuries.
