An off-duty New York City correction officer was killed in Brooklyn Sunday night, and police said they are looking for the shooter.

The 25-year-old woman, identified by police as Alastasia Bryan of Crescent Street, Brooklyn, was shot several times and killed in the Flatlands neighborhood, near East 73rd Street and Avenue L, the NYPD said.

When police officers arrived, the NYPD said, they found Bryan inside her parked car, “unconscious and unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the head and torso.”

News video from the scene showed a gray sedan with at least five bullet holes in the driver’s side window.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said the suspect fled in a tan vehicle, but there were no further details.

Anyone with information can call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-8477.
