The good news for Knicks fans is that Hall of Fame coach Phil Jackson is available. The bad news, as the 11-time champion told reporters after his final game with the Lakers, is that “in all my hopes and aspirations, this is the final game that I’ll coach.”
With much-maligned Mike D’Antoni’s deal expiring after next season and the team eager for success with stars Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire, recent reports have linked the 65-year-old Jackson with the Knicks in 2012-13.
