Council OKs bill to give pregnant employees better working conditions

The City Council passed a bill Tuesday to ensure better working conditions for pregnant women.

Under the new regulations, pregnant women will be able to request better accommodations without fear of repercussions, said the bill's sponsor, Councilman James Vacca.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is expected to sign the measure, which passed with 47 yes votes.
