Couple who hosted self-help show committed suicide in Brooklyn apartment: Officials

A Brooklyn couple who hosted a self-help radio show was found dead inside their Park Slope home Monday in an apparent double-suicide, officials said Wednesday.

Lynne Rosen, 46, and John Littig, 48, were discovered by their brownstone's super after neighbors reported a foul smell coming from their apartment, the Daily News reported. Police responded and pronounced the two DOA, officials said.

The couple, who hosted the monthly show "Pursuit of Happiness" on WBAI-FM, suffocated themselves with plastic bags filled with helium and left behind two suicide notes, officials and reports said.

"We're going to do this together" was the gist of Littig's note, sources told the Daily News.

Rosen, a psychotherapist, and Littig, a motivational speaker and musician, hosted the monthly call-in show that "focuses on personal development and growth, and features interviews with inspirational guests," according to WBAI's website.

During several episodes, the couple used their personal experiences to give advice on how listeners could improve their lives.

"Stepping out of the comfort zone is important," Rosen said in one episode in February. "I'm doing lots of different things in terms of my own life and developing now."

"No change no life," Littig added.

Officials were unsure when the two died.
