Crime boss 'Vinny Gorgeous' gets second life sentence for murder

A Brooklyn judge Wednesday sentenced former Bonanno crime family boss Vincent “Vinny Gorgeous” Basciano to a second life sentence for ordering the 2004 murder of a renegade mob associate.
Basciano, 51, had faced the death penalty after being convicted in May for putting out a hit on Randolph Pizzolo, who was gunned down in Greenpoint.
Basciano, who already was serving life stint for another mob slay, is set to be transferred to "SuperMax," a federal prison in Florence, Colo.
