Cuomo creates report card that grades insurance companies' Sandy performances

Insurance companies will now have to move quicker on Superstorm Sandy claims in the state, the governor said Thursday.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Thursday new regulations for insurance companies that reduces the minimum amount of days to get a claims adjuster visit from 15 days to six.
He also launched an online report card that grades the various insurance companies' performance by numerous factors including response time and complaints.
"People can see how their insurance companies are performing during this crisis and they can take that into account when they shop for their policy in the future," Cuomo said, adding the the companies will be held "accountable" for their performance.
The reports will be made available at NYInsure.ny.gov and there will be frequent updates, according to the governor.
