Andrew Cuomo, Bill de Blasio meet over fish to end feud

Former friends Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo dined in secret to try to mend their feud, according to a person familiar with the encounter.

Over $46-a-plate branzino, the men ate Tuesday night in a secluded part of the Casa Lever restaurant on Park Avenue and East 53rd Street, according to the source.

Neither man had drinks, appetizers or dessert at the meal, reportedly attended by top de Blasio aide Emma Wolfe and Cuomo communications director Melissa DeRosa.

The attempt at a rapprochement was first reported by The New York Post.

De Blasio and Cuomo have known each other for decades, but their relationship has turned rancorous since de Blasio became mayor in 2013.

In June, de Blasio called City Hall reporters into his office to accuse Cuomo of exacting “revenge” and carrying on a “vendetta” that thwarted the city’s interests.

Cuomo’s office has criticized the de Blasio administration’s ability to handle homelessness, infectious disease outbreaks, public schooling and more.

Neither the governor’s nor mayor’s offices would publicly confirm the meal.
