Fresh off Monday’s seven-way gubernatorial debate, Carl Paladino is ready for a mano-a-mano rematch with Andrew Cuomo — but the attorney general said one is enough.

Republican candidate Paladino told WOR-AM yesterday that Monday’s debate format was “terrible” and that he “for sure” wants another shot at his Democratic rival.

Cuomo didn’t respond to amNewYork for comment, but reportedly said yesterday at an event in Poughkeepsie that he won’t commit to any more debates.

He said he wants to spend the final two weeks before the election campaigning, adding that he wants to see every county in the state, which he hasn’t yet done.

Many thought Monday’s debate was a muddled farce including fringe candidates, while not allowing enough time for responses and rebuttals. Frontrunners Paladino and Cuomo had almost no interaction with each other.

A rep for Paladino didn’t return calls for comment.
