When it comes to jewelry, more is more. Or at least, more is better.
Of course, when we say more, we don't actually mean tons of overgrown baubles haphazardly piled on a la Norma Desmond (though that works, too!), but rather statement-making pieces that get noticed for their "that's so cool" design.
We've been following jewelry designer Eddie Borgo since he first appeared in '09, and can't get enough of his distinctly edgy-without-trying-too-hard collections.
The designer — who was a runner up for 2010's CFDA Swarovski Accessories Designer of the Year award — creates architecturally appealing pieces that fuse high-end and street sensibilities (think posh pave spikes, studs, bullets, geometric shapes, rose gold padlocks and all forms of heavy metal).
Sure, dainty diamonds are nice and all, but sometimes a gal's gotta add a pave-crusted pyramid spike or two to her repertoire.
