It’s a good thing Rex Ryan decided to put Antonio Cromartie on Randy Moss throughout the Jets’ 29-20 win over the Vikings, and not Darelle Revis.

Revis said he experienced hamstring soreness that kept him under 100 percent going into the game. But that was news to Ryan.

“I was thinking about challenging him even more,” Ryan said Tuesday. “I never saw it. If he was sore, I didn’t know that.”

Revis, beaten on Percy Harvin’s 34-yard touchdown catch off a crossing pattern, was not sure if he’d make it Sunday against the Broncos.

“I want to be out there so bad with my teammates and win games,” said Revis of the injury that cost him the two previous games. “I need to learn patience right now and get back to 100 percent.”

Moss finished with four catches for 81 yards, but outright beat Cromartie only once on Brett Favre’s perfectly thrown, 37-yard scoring pass in the third quarter.

As much as Cromartie stepped up his game, Ryan hoped Revis, his All-Pro cornerback, will recover enough to face the 2-3 Broncos.

“I haven’t talked to him, but I’m hoping it’s just something little that happened and he can push through it,” the coach said.
