Date chosen for election to fill former Sen. Carl Kruger's seat

Voters in southeastern Brooklyn will go to the polls March 20 to pick a replacement for crooked former state Sen. Carl Kruger, officials with the governor's office said Monday.
The Democratic pol pleaded guilty last month to taking bribes, and as part of a plea deal could face up to 11 years in prison when he's sentenced in April.
Expected candidates to run are Republican attorney David Storobin and Democratic New York City Councilman Lew Fidler.
