Delta Air Lines on Thursday said its operations were finally back to normal after a power outage this week snarled thousands of flights three days in a row.

“The key thing here is today, we’re essentially back to normal,” Delta spokesman Michael Thomas said in a voicemail message.

“We did take a small number of cancellations, about 25, this morning, but essentially we are back to full speed and full strength.”

By late afternoon, FlightAware, an internet tracking service, listed 28 canceled flights and 345 flights that were delayed.

The airline said it canceled 317 flights Wednesday, though about two-thirds of the 3,100 flights that took off left within 30 minutes of their scheduled departure time.

More than 1,000 flights were canceled Monday after Delta’s Atlanta headquarters lost power at 2:30 a.m., causing extensive problems with its computers that rippled through its systems three consecutive days.

To compensate its passengers, Delta offered $200 in travel vouchers to any customer whose trip was delayed more than three hours or whose flight was canceled. Delta said it gave hotel vouchers to several thousand customers, including more than 2,000 on Monday night in Atlanta.
