Disney announces release date for Angelina Jolie's 'Maleficent'

Angelina Jolie's latest role has nothing to do with that famous leg of hers.

Jolie is set to star in the live-action flick "Maleficent," which just got its release date - March 14, 2014 - Walt Disney Studios announced Tuesday. In the movie, the 36-year-old actress will play the villain made famous in the Disney animated classic "Sleeping Beauty."

The upcoming release "explores the origins of the evil fairy Maleficent and what led her to curse Princess Aurora," according to the movie's press notes.
