This week, Dallas Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd moved to No. 2 all-time in assists, trailing only John Stockton. Stockton and Kidd also rank second and third all-time, respectively, in turnovers - a maligned statistic. That led us to dig up more Hall of Fame or HOF-caliber players who are No. 1 in one or more laudable career categories, but who also top at least one undesirable category. Historic success and longevity, it seems, can lead to some shame in the record book.
