How's he doin'?

Well enough to get out of the hospital, apparently.

Former Mayor Ed Koch, 87, who checked into New York-Presbyterian Hospital Tuesday with pneumonia and the flu, expects to return home Sunday, said his spokesman, George Arzt.

"He sounds better and he feels better," said Arzt, who acknowledged that Hizzoner was overly optimistic about his last projected hospital release date after he was admitted for anemia and fatigue in September.

A Sunday release "is not for sure," Arzt said.

Arzt said the two had not discussed whether Koch would require a home health aide.
