Eight-year-old evades kidnapper in front of school: Police

Cops are on the hunt for an alleged predator who tried to kidnap an 8-year-old girl from the steps of her school Thursday morning.

The girl was in front of P.S. 33 in the Fordham section of the Bronx around 8 a.m. when the unidentified man approached her, police said.

He allegedly asked the girl to come with him and grabbed her arm. The girl ran down the street, eventually making her way back to school, where she told her principal, who alerted the police.
