Election to replace Sen. Carl Kruger a close call

The winner of Tuesday's special election to replace disgraced ex-state Sen. Carl Kruger remained a nail biter Wednesday.
Unofficial vote totals had Republican David Sotorbin leading Democrat Lew Fidler by about 120 votes for the Brooklyn seat - and neither candidate was ready to concede.
Election officials spent Wednesday verifying the count totals. A winner may not be declared until after 757 absentee ballots are counted Tuesday, according to reports.
Kruger resigned in December after pleading guilty to corruption charges. He will be sentenced in April.
