The TV stuntman who was sued by the Empire State Building for attempting to parachute off its observation deck has settled the $12 million suit the building’s owners filed against him, according to his attorney.
BASE jumper Jeb Corliss, 35, attempted the feat in 2006 for the Discovery Channel show "Stunt Junkies." He was caught before he could jump, then arrested and sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours community service. He was fired from the show for the stunt.
Corliss attorney Mark Heller told amNewYork he was "pleased" the case has been "amicably resolved," but declined to elaborate on the agreement because of a confidentially agreement.
