The colorful, spooky sights won't just be on the ground on Halloween.

The Empire State Building will host a special light show Thursday night using its state of the art LED lighting system. The top floors will glow various holiday themed colors and synchronize with songs that will be playing on the radio.

Anthony E. Malkin, the CEO of Empire State Realty Trust, which runs the building, said it had huge success with a similar concert last fall and its Fourth of July show and wanted to give New Yorkers another fun spectacle

"New York City has the world's most famous skyline, and the Empire State Building is the world's most famous building. Using our lights and our position on the skyline is an obligation for us, and it makes the city all that much more special," he said in a statement.

The show begins at 8:30 p.m. and the songs will be broadcast on Z100 and KTU.
