One of two teenage boys pulled from the Bronx River has died.

Police identified him Friday night as 13-year-old Erickson Villa of the Bronx.

Divers pulled Villa and another 13-year-old from the river near Starlight Park about an hour apart after a report of two missing swimmers.

Police said both boys were unconscious and unresponsive.

Villa was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

The other boy remains at the hospital in critical condition. His name has not been released.

The fire department says divers pulled one boy out of the river by at about 3:37 p.m. and recovered the other at 4:26 p.m.

The parks department referred all questions to the police department.

The investigation is ongoing.
