Ex-convict Darrell Fuller, 33, was jailed without bail on Thursday for Tuesday's fatal shooting of Nassau County Police Officer Arthur Lopez and carjack victim Raymond Facey, 58, of Brooklyn.

Fuller also was charged with one count of first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Hundreds of police officers packed the courthouse and courtroom. Fuller was not required to enter a plea, and Brian Shupak, Fuller's legal aid attorney, requested that Fuller not be questioned by police because he's represented by counsel. He also requested medical aid for him.

Prosecutor Mitchell Benson said that the same weapon was used to kill Lopez, 29, and Facey. That weapon also was used on Fuller, who was found wounded in QueenS hours after the murders.

Benson said Fuller "did not act alone." He said that Fuller reached out to associates after the shootings and that prosecutors are investigating whether one of those associates shot Fuller.
