Locked up for almost two years on a gun rap, former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress will get out of prison Monday morning — and is hoping to get his gridiron game on soon.

His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Burress “is in great shape.”

"He will be a highly sought free agent once the lockout is over," Rosenhaus said.

Burress, 33, who caught the winning touchdown pass for the Giants’ 2008 Super Bowl win over the Patriots, was imprisoned for 20 months after he accidentally shot himself in the thigh with an unlicensed gun at a Manhattan nightclub in 2008.

Sentenced to two years for attempted criminal possession of a weapon, he is being released early from an upstate correctional facility for good behavior.

According to reports, several teams are interested in signing Burress, including the Baltimore Ravens, St. Louis Rams and Philadelphia Eagles, where Michael Vick, who was imprisoned for illegal dogfighting, is the starting quarterback.
