Former Mayor David Dinkins has been hospitalized for pneumonia, his spokeswoman said Thursday.

Dinkins, 86, entered the hospital either late Wednesday or early Thursday morning, his rep Lynda Hamilton said.

"He is fine. He has a mild case of pneumonia and will be out soon," she said.

Dinkins' law partner, Peter Johnson, said the former mayor, who is at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, has been "doing great."

"He's been feeling really well," Johnson said.
