There will be no jail time for Ray Harding, the once powerful state Liberal Party boss who was arrested in 2009 in the pay-to-play scandal involving former State Comptroller Alan Hevesi.

A Manhattan judge handed down the sentence Wednesday, keeping Harding, 76, out of the slammer as long as he stays out of trouble for one year.

While Harding pleaded guilty for doing illicit favors for Hevesi and pocketing an $800,000 kickback for his pension fund job, he also cooperated with investigators.
