Farmers' Almanac predicts Super Bowl snowstorm for northeast
The Farmers' Almanac predicted that a major snowstorm will hit the Northeast coast sometime between Feb. 1 and Feb. 3, just in time for the Feb. 2 Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium.
The forecast was part of the Maine-based publication's prediction of an extreme cold winter for most of the country.
Super Bowl XLVIII is the first time the championship has been played in the Northeast. Despite concerns that the tristate area's winter climate would make the game unbearable for fans and players, the NFL has guaranteed it will do everything it can to make them comfortable.
