Fashion Week: Badgley Mischka fall 2011 show report
Badgley Mischka’s 2011 fall collection yesterday felt like an awards show red carpet: Gaggles of starlets oohing and ahhing over stunning gowns while photogs snapped pictures of said starlets and those stunning gowns.
Understandably so, front-row seatmates Kelly Osbourne, Rumer Willis and Kellie Pickler fawned to each other throughout the show over the sweeping parade of beads, taffeta and chiffon in colors ranging from blush to emerald. The trio particularly liked — as did we — a shimmery nude gown adorned with elegant beadwork in the front and a stunning full-length black number with a shoulder appliqué.
Equally elegant as the couture gowns were the cocktail dresses, pants, sweaters and outerwear from the designers’ Badgley Mischka Collection and lower-priced Mark + James line. Even a would-be simple daytime look was the epitome of glamour with just the right hat, accent or color choice.
