On a red carpet, there's usually that one starlet who chooses to make a statement with a pop of color. But a candy-colored parade? That's what we saw at Badgley Mischka’s spring show Tuesday.
Gowns in violet, teal, lemon and sherbet orange swept the runway, adding a playful vibe to a collection filled with dramatic evening wear. Adding to the fun: the occasional colorful ribbon-as-belt and gathered accents.
Intertwined among the red-carpet-ready looks were pieces from Mark Badgley and James Mischka's lower-priced line, Mark + James, that followed the same color scheme.
The design duo ended the show with a handful of sweeping nude and metallic gowns — a softer ending to a show that pedaled so much pop.
