In his first of three shows this week, Max Azria played with elongated proportions — as the designer put it — on Thursday at BCBG. A paper-thin white turtleneck bodysuit served as the base layer for each look — a chic contrast to the voluminous silk crepe and chiffon pieces that flowed every which way as the models walked down the runway. A few pops of bright red and cobalt dotted the mostly muted mocha, cognac and mustard show — even the blacks had a soft quality to them, moving freely on sheer and silky fabrics.
