Bibhu Mohapatra aimed to embody the spirit of the modern woman who is confident, daring, playful and erotically charged. Elements of those qualities certainly were evident at the designer's presentation Monday, forming a cohesive, sophisticated collection.
Confidence shone through in a beyond-bright orange gown and pair of harem pants; a daring nature through the slits and unconventional chain accents on bold look-at-me-gowns; playfulness through the aforementioned bright harem pants as well as print frocks; and an erotic feeling through peekaboo detailing on the chest and legs of some garments.
