Though the line typically is associated with gowns, jumpsuits, punchy-colored velvet and luxe-looking fur comprised a large part of Carlos Miele's fall 2011 collection.
The kimono-esque jumpsuits, draped on top and harem-style below, were all belted with velvet and accompanied by dramatic oversized head wraps. The tight striped knit sweater paired with electric-hued velvet harem pants and topped off with a small gray fur bolero was eye-catching. We couldn't get enough of a burnt orange silk wrap-style dress or a black velvet one shouldered top paired with a billowy gold metallic evening skirt.
While we weren't wild about the models' high braids, the severe style did showcase the garments' gorgeous necklines.
