Fashion Week could make its home at Hudson Yards: Report

Fashion Week could be heading far out west.

The biannual gathering of designers, models, fashionistas and more may make its permanent home at the Culture Shed at Hudson Yards, according to Women's Wear Daily.

"In all likelihood, fashion week will come to Hudson Yards. It needs a permanent home," said Jay Cross, president of Hudson Yards, at a preview of the site, WWD reported.

Fashion Week has been held at Lincoln Center since it was booted from Bryant Park in 2009, though the Culture Shed isn't set to open until 2017. It will reportedly include studios, four runways and outdoor and indoor spaces, and cost about $300 million, according to WWD.

The 26-acre Hudson Yards is the largest undeveloped property in Manhattan, between 10th and 12th avenues from West 30th to West 33rd streets. Hudson Yards didn't respond to a request for comment. Fashion Week declined to comment.
