We wanted to touch everything at Custo Barcelona’s fall 2011 show.
Fur, fringe, wooly loops, sequins and a smattering of other textured materials covered the collection of men’s and women’s wear from head to toe — literally. Even the shoes were festooned with touchable elements.
And don’t think the few pieces that didn’t sport 3-D elements were any tamer — they got a kick from Custo’s signature graphic prints.
While the majority of the designs wouldn’t be suitable for most New Yorkers’ daily lives, the collection provided a fun dose of escapism.
