Nanette Lepore’s runway show felt more like spring than fall, with breezy gowns, flouncy skirts and sheer fabrics dominating the collection.

That said, many of the pieces were quite pretty in the ultra-feminine aesthetic Lepore has nailed over the years. As were the colors, chiefly turquoise, a lighter shade of blue-green, gold and cream.

In addition to the more lightweight designs, Lepore included a full-length tweed coat, a knit cape, a wool jacket and a few more season-appropriate items. Our favorite look — a black long-sleeved leather dress — seemed out of place showing up smack in the middle of the romantic collection.
