For spring 2012, the fab New York sisters behind Porter Grey — Kristen and Alexandra O’Neill — took inspiration from the garden parties their grandparents used to throw in Oyster Bay Cove in the 1950s and ’60s.
Hence, Thursday’s presentation was filled with models donning sunny, youthful shapes, florals and shades of poppy dusty blue and warm nude that (almost) made us forget about the rainy weather outside Lincoln Center’s doors.
We’re especially eyeing the high-waisted floral shorts and simple yet chic mini-dresses for the season.
