The 2012 spring collection shown Monday was inspired by the "graphic and graceful" letter V, and was made up strictly of shades of gray, blue and white.
The collection certainly shifted the American perception of menswear through the use of wet-look nylon suits, cerulean jersey jackets with asymmetric zippers and white nylon pants with elastic cuffs. Some pieces — while attractive on comely male models — may not translate stateside. There is something to be said, however, for seeing menswear through an atypical lens.
